Dedicated duplication solutions are available to facilitate the duplication of large quantities of optical discs in the shortest amount of time. These solutions, including specialized duplication equipment, function with operator assistance or as part of an essentially automated system. In this regard, specialized duplication equipment can be configured as either computer peripherals or autonomous, stand-alone units. Hand-fed duplication tower systems are the most common systems in use. They are comprised of a series of disc burners that are chained together in order to achieve essentially simultaneous duplication from a hard drive image or master disc. Robotic disc handling systems are also widely used for a more fully automated disc duplication process.
